Dr. Bronwyn is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with a clinical focus in fertility optimization. With a background in kinesiology and a passion for metabolic health, she integrates science-backed strategies to enhance fertility outcomes for women looking to conceive. She has helped countless women improve their metabolic markers, optimize egg quality, and achieve successful pregnancies, while feeling confident in their bodies.

Kristi is a PhD candidate in nutrition and exercise science, studying how movement and diet impact metabolic health. With years of experience in science communication and metabolic therapies, she is dedicated to helping women move their bodies, eat nutrient-dense foods, and improve their fertility potential while impacting future generations.

FAQs

Is the Metabolic Health Fertility Program safe if I am trying to conceive?

Yes! The program is designed specifically for women preparing for pregnancy, ensuring that all exercise and nutrition recommendations are fertility-safe.

What if I get pregnant while on the program?

This program is absolutely safe to follow while pregnant, but you may have unique reasons to modify. This is the beauty of following a program that has individualized support; we will help modify the program to fit your needs!

I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS. Will this program help me?

Yes! PCOS is tightly associated with insulin resistance and this program is specifically designed to address insulin resistance. Many women who have completed the program have been diagnosed with PCOS.

Is this program covered under Naturopathic Medical benefits?

A portion of the program cost is eligible for reimbursement within Ontario, Canada, depending on your unique extended health benefits plan. Up to $500 can be covered, reducing the cost of the program to $885 + HST.

If your insurance plan has a health spending account or flex dollars, the remainder of the program may be covered for you!

How much does the program cost?

The total program cost is $1,385 CAD.

Payments will be broken up into several categories and billing intervals throughout the program to make it more accessible AND to allow participants the opportunity to submit eligible components for coverage under extended health benefits.

The payment schedule is as follows:
– First payment: $885 + HST due prior to starting the program, for onboarding and program materials.
– You will be billed $250 following your 1:1 Metabolic Assessment Review sessions (total of 2 payments). This portion of the program is eligible for coverage under most extended healthcare plans.

Please note that blood work is required to be done before and after the program. This may be an additional cost and is not included in the cost of the program.

I have Diabetes. Is this Metabolic Health Fertility program safe for me?

Yes! All aspects of the program are designed to help treat and reverse diabetes and insulin resistance. This can be a very successful program for you if you have been diagnosed with diabetes, pre-diabetes or insulin resistance.

How do I know if I have Insulin Resistance?

Most people don’t know! This would require having your fasting glucose and fasting insulin levels tested or an oral glucose tolerance test done. If you have been diagnosed with Diabetes or pre-diabetes, you have insulin resistance. If you have PCOS, there is a high likelihood that you also have insulin resistance.

Can I join if I already have a gym membership?

Absolutely! The workouts can be done at home or in a gym, making it flexible to fit your lifestyle. You will need access to dumbbells in different weights, and as you get stronger it is very important to have access to dumbbells that are heavy enough! A gym would offer a great selection!

What if I am vegetarian?

This program can fit any dietary preferences! There is no specific meal plan, so you get to choose which foods to consume. You will have a specific protein target to reach and information on vegetarian sources of protein will be provided.

What if I am gluten/dairy free?

This program can fit any dietary preferences! There is no specific meal plan, so you get to choose which foods to consume. There are many great whole foods that are dairy and gluten-free!

Will you provide a meal plan to follow?

There is no specific meal plan, so you get to choose which foods to consume. We want you to eat foods that you enjoy, which will increase your compliance with the program. We will however, provide a sample meal plan and if you’d like, you can follow it! You will be provided with a daily calorie and protein target and we provide education on foods to consume to hit your goals.

What equipment do I need?

You will need access to dumbbells (3 sets: 5-10lbs; 10-20lbs; 25-35lbs), a food scale, a digital bathroom scale, a flexible tape measure, and a pedometer or smartwatch for tracking your steps.

How do I track my progress?

You will use daily progress tracking forms, weekly reflections, and metabolic assessments to measure changes in body composition, metabolic markers, and fitness levels.
